Well if you’ve read my other blog on this CRAZY story you know the jist of whats going on, last year, Feb 16th, Charla Nash was attacked by her “Good Friend”‘s so called “domesticated” chimpanzee. What I have for updates for yawl are the YouTube video of the 911 call, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgS0KgT5APc it’s very disturbing, the 911 agent also was very rude and dismissive, the information that took him 4 minutes to get should have only taken 2 maybe even 1. The guy…well just listen for yourself, he was a big ass, maybe gets one to many crank calls because he didn’t seem to be taking it very seriously.
Here’s another YouTube vid Sandra Herold, talking about the negitive reactions she’s had from people because she stabbed the chimp and had to have it later shot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj9tkjodvSM&NR=1 I think what was said was I hope you rot in hell, well Sandra, I do not hope you rot in hell but I do hope that you understand, when the chimp was not complying with you, Charla should not have been called to help you, you should have called Animal Control? And why didn’t you? I’m assuming it’s because Travis already bit one of their guys. AND stated in a previous post, had escaped from a car and had the street shut down for 2 hours while the police tried to capture him. You refer to Travis alot as being like a son to you, and as a mother I really do get that, but for yours, his, and others benefits, he should have been kept in a controlled enviroment if he wasnt fit to be released into the wild.
Lastly, Charla Nash is permanently blind from the attack with no hope for improvment, she lost most of her face including her eyelids, and all of her fingers. She has another year of surgeries ahead of her but doesn’t recall the attack and doesn’t feel any pain. She recently said her first word with the assistance of a artificial voicebox, also brain scans and MRI’s show no brain damage. Her brothers have opened a 55 million dollar law suit and might be opening another one against the state of Conneticuit for allowing her to hve the chimp and not doing anything aut the warning signs leading up to the attack. I defintelely seen the law suit coming, I mean this womans life is never going to be the same, she has a 17 yr old daughter, who has barely seen her mom in the past year, Sandra Herold took time away from this woman who was just trying to help.
Let this story be a warning to you, it’s because of stories like this that we have shows like “When Animals Attack” There should be a rule, when getting a pet, you should have to show if that animal is ready to attack, you can do something, this cudda been Hulks mother and a 70, she couldnt have done anything about it.
