This weeks news stated the Pope has added 7 new sins to the original 7 deadly sins? Getting into heaven is going to be like getting into Coy or STK? Except not many celebrities will be on the V.I.P list.
Added to the 7 (Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Anger, Greed, and Sloth) are Drug Abuse, Creating Poverty, Polluting the Enviroment, Bioethical (birthcontol), Morally Dubious (expiriments such as stem cell research), Excessive Wealth, and Contributing to the widening divide of rich and poor.
Where to start on this one hey? Hmm let’s start with drug abuse, some poeple are predisposed too dugs, thus making them more likely to use drugs, now they don’t get into heaven cuz they are crackheads? Not to mention a lot of excessive drug use is tracked back to childhood trauma, so should their parents burn in hell for their mistakes which led their child into a life of poverty and druguse? I mean if a dog pisses on the floor you blame the person who didn’t let the poor thing out. A murderer can repent his sins in jail and have a better chance of getting into heaven then a misled crackhead? What next? Birth Control? Because I am trying to be a responsible adult and not bring more children into the world then I can afford I am sinner in God’s eyes? This also a contradiction on Creating Poverty? Having one baby created poverty for me and we are considered a middle class income family, so I can imagine people in other situations. AND! What about these girls who are put on the pill by their parents? Are the summoned to the firey pits of hell for all eternity because their parents forcefed them the pill? ….. Next we will tackle polluting the enviroment, as much as I’d like to go green, only the excessively rich can afford to build green friendly homes, and buy green friendly cards, and I’m afraid they already are going to hell for being rich? And look at people like Oprah, who has made a ton of money being a good person, making huge charitable donations, building schools in Africa, helping to fund the first Black President, this lady is going to hell?
I don’t even feel the need to continue this blog, it seems like these all contradict each other, it’s impossible to get into heaven, and if we could follow all this rules, (which apparently, can get changed whenever) this would be a heaven on earth? Or would it? Would the world bust into complete chaos? I mean if there is no social rank, the number of people that feel they are entitled to everything and anything would triple. The druggies would go into with drawals, the women would be popping out kids left and right, because it’s too late to do anything about global warming the sun will end up burning out like those cheap energy efficient bulbs, and none of our solar powered homes will work, and most importantly… without stem cell research our hope to someday cure blindness, diseases, and cancers would be lost……
With the news lately you’d think one of the sins would perhaps be Molestation? Phedophila? Heck the pastor at my old school was prosecuted for possestion of child porn, as well as solicating girls, where does he go?
I sure hope they make another movie with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, it would be the only thing to come outta this all that would be worth watching or listening too.
